*a little* frustrated

Ok, so sometimes the best-laid plans don't work out the way they were inteded... It seems as though technology just has not been on my side this trip. I was trying to upload pictures this morning, and for some reason, the computer I'm using is saying that the camera is not connected to it now, even though it was reading the pictures before it decided that!

Anyway, today is our last (partial) day in Hawaii. We leave this afternoon, and will be back in Dallas tomorrow morning. Trust me, you will have some tired kids (and adults) when you get them back tomorrow afternoon.

As for pictures, I will upload them when I get home. There are so many beautiful ones that I cannot wait to share, and lots of fun pics of the kids on the trip ;)

Off to go make sure some kids are packed and ready to go home!

more to come!

So sorry there is not as much uploading as I'd planned- I am having some technology issues! But I will get them all uploaded. I also changed my phone to upload directly to the blog... Then consequently left my phone in our hotel room today :( At least I have my camera though!

Pearl Harbor Memorial

We have been busy!  And, the hotel's Internet has not been cooperating... So sorry that the blog has been a little slow for the past couple of days. I think I fixed it though; I changed the blog my phone uploads to, so hopefully I will be able to upload more pics today.  We've had a couple of nights free for dinner, so we've had an opportunity to "explore" the restaurants here a little more. On the night the kids did the scavenger hunt, some of the adults went to various "grown up" restaurants around Waikiki.

The kids listening to our tour guide, "Auntie Bea" telling them the rules of the scavenger hunt. They had a good time, I think- They were given money to buy a disposable camera, then had to take pictures of things like street musicians (there are plenty) and other Waikiki novelties.

Ready to perform at Pearl Harbor yesterday, and waiting for the buses!

Listening to the tour guide at the Pearl Harbor Memorial. SUCH a great day! More to follow on that- want to get a bunch of pictures up, and I will put details up later.

Catamaran!

This morning was "amazing," "awesome," "beautiful," as many of the kids described it. We went in four groups on catamarans, which took us out about 1/2 mile off shore, and gave everyone about an hour to snorkel.

Then, the boat's motor was pulled up, and the sails were set up, and our boat became a sailboat! We went at a pretty high speed out past Diamond Head. The kids loved the sailing portion. As you'll see in the pictures, several sat up front and got totally soaked! It was great fun watching them have so much fun.

I have TONS of pictures from today, but I am exhausted, and my camera-phone is giving me problems... Tomorrow morning will be busy, but I think I'll be able to get back on in the afternoon. So sorry! But I promise you will love the pictures, so please check back tomorrow night.

This evening, the kids went out on a scavenger hunt around Waikiki in groups of 10-11. (You'll have to ask them about that; it was a kid-only event- so I have no pictures...) I think they enjoyed it though; all reports came back positive ;)
